On April 12, 2019 (Friday), Angelica was awarded the 2019 Chit Estella
Journalism Student Award for Best in Journalism Research (Journalism
Studies Category) at the 2019 Asian Journalism Research Conference held
at the University of the Philippines Diliman, College of Mass Communication.

The Chit Estella Journalism Awards, part of the annual Asian Journalism
Research Conference (AJRC), are given to outstanding journalism works
by undergraduate mass communication students in academic research,
investigative reporting and special projects.

About 100 students from 11 universities nationwide participated in this
year’s competition. And Angelica won for her research on the quality of
science journalism in the country.
