11 Feb Father-Daughter Interaction : Crossing the Bridge, Connecting the Gap
By: Ms. Andrea Shane Vanessa Elgario
Every year, the ICA High School Guidance Office organizes the annual Father-Daughter Interaction for our Grade 8 students.
The program aims to facilitate better understanding, foster a deeper connection and encourage open communication between parents,
in particular, the fathers and their daughters.
This year’s Father-Daughter Interaction was held at the Delia Tetreault Arts and Sport Center last January 26, 2019 with the theme
“Crossing the Bridge, Connecting the Gaps”.
The program highlights included a fun and interactive getting to know you activity, an inspirational talk on
“Languages of Love” with the distinguished speaker, Mr. Francis J. Kong; a special bonding
moment with dad and daughter where each showed their love and gratitude through their gifts
of flowers, pictures and cards. The day ended with a memorable father and daughter dance.
Through the activities, the fathers and daughters were able to show their love through words of
affirmation, gift giving, acts of service, and a special time together.
