Back in 1935, MIC sisters opened a little school on top of a hardware store otherwise known as the Immaculate Conception Anglo-Chinese Academy (ICACA) to bring more hearts to God, and to bring hope and the opportunity of a good life to the Manila Chinese community. When Xavier School opened in 1951, ICA(CA) referred its male applicants to the Jesuit-run school, making ICA the first exclusive Catholic school in the Philippines for Philippine-born Chinese girls.
