21 Oct Empowering Resilience in the New Normal: Journeying Together for a Healthy Well-Being
The Guidance Office yearly conducts a mental health talk in promoting the student’s healthy well-being.
For this year’s talk, the theme “Empowering Resilience in the New Normal” was just a glimmer as the world faces the Covid-19 outbreak, in which students are facing various challenges in life. The talk was held on October 15, 2020, via live streaming through MS Teams. Ms. Bettina Margarita Jose as the guest speaker is a founder and manager of Spring Philippines, a non-profit organization that advocates mental health.
The talk focused on the importance of keeping students’ mental health in a good condition that suffices in lessening stress, fears, feeling anxious, and sadness in this time of crisis. Ms. Jose gave healthy tips to our students on how to do self-care which were all significant and related to the needs of our students. She imparted a clear knowledge that taking care of one’s mental health is not a selfish thing to do, but rather it is a healthy way of loving oneself to be more courageous and empowered in times of crisis.
