18 Apr Revisiting One’s Mission in Life
REVISITING ONE’S MISSION IN LIFE
by Mrs. Marie Jane Roa Javier
Last April 2, 2022, we came together as one community, one family to participate in an online Lenten Recollection organized by the school administration. With the theme, “Rediscovering Jesus in the Midst of our Inner Chaos”, we were privileged and honored to have Rev. Fr. Carmelo “Tito” Caluag as our recollection facilitator.
Fr. Tito truly inspired us to take a step back about one’s mission in life and seriously think on the patterns of our values and beliefs. He wanted everyone to understand the importance of our life purpose-what motivates and guides the decisions we make each day. He emphasized God speaking in our hearts, influencing our goals, shaping our behaviors and sense of direction in lives.
As we reflect and focus more on the things that make us joyful, things we do right, our successes and achievements allow us to celebrate every moment with God-who is the source of all.
We are deeply grateful to you, Fr. Tito for moving us to revisit our mission that is connected to our vocation and deep meaning of God’s calling in our lives.
As he shared from Frederick Buechner, “THE PLACE GOD CALLS YOU TO IS THE PLACE WHERE YOUR DEEP GLADNESS AND THE WORLD’S DEEP HUNGER MEET.”
Thank you, dear ICA, for a very wonderful and meaningful Lenten Recollection! Truly, we gained confidence in the will of God and a better understanding of what’s good or pleasing His eyes.
