Praising God through Mary

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated by all Filipinos in varied ways especially that she is the principal Patroness of the country. ICA as a Marian school had an anticipated celebration of the Holy Eucharist in honor of the Immaculate Conception last December 7, 2016 at the Delia Tetreault Arts and Sports Center with Rev. Fr. Many Flores, S.J. officiating the mass. In the homily, Fr. Manny emphasized the three important virtues of Mary that ICAns should imitate. These virtues are purity, humility and power. As a final note, he encouraged everyone to continue praying the rosary as a powerful too against evil.

After the Mass, ICAns honored Mary through the song “Memorare” led by Pearl Lu of 6-Modesty with the Grade 3 pupils offering flowers to our Lady.  The celebration also included greeting and serenading the MIC Sisters on their feast day by the students and the teachers. Some pupils also gave flowers to the elderly and sick MIC sisters at the convent later in the morning. It was indeed a joyful celebration for the ICA family. (Mrs. Jessie Gallos)
