Singaporean Math Seminar for Parents

As proficiency in Mathematics is a primary concern of educational institutions, ICA adopted the Sinagporean Math Curriculum to further raise the students' performance level.

A seminar-workshop on Singaporean Mathematics was conducted by the GS Math Coordinator, Ms. Jobina Uy for parents last September 28-30, 2010 at Multi-Purpose Hall 1. This seminar provided the parents with the facility to guide their children in studying math problems particularly word problems. The parents were introduced to the methodology and underwent a workshop to solve mathematical problems using approaches like pictorial representation and real-life situations. Abstract mathematical relationships and various problem structures were likewise solved in meaningful and relevant contexts.

Teacher's Day 2010

Last September 8, 2010, teachers and students once again celebrated Teachers’ Day with good food and a few simple performances which made the day truly enjoyable.

The day started off with a summer-themed celebration at the SAC Garden headed by the Student Council Events Committee.  Teachers were treated by the ICA Administration to a breakfast feast of tosilog and bangus, scrambled egg, garlic rice, hot chocolate, coffee, and fruit! The Events Committee added their special touch by preparing and serving a variety fruit shakes!  While the teachers enjoyed their breakfast, they were serenaded by several members of the Hands in Harmony.
