ICA SCIENCE MADE A BIG LEAP!

Amazing! Our ICAns were different!  Their enthusiasm in doing their work was something to behold. They’re  so full of energy!  Everybody wanted to participate and do the magic themselves.  “It’s cool!” somebody retorted after watching  the magical demonstrations of the Science teachers.

Remembering 75 years of grace: ICA's platinum jubilee

The year was 1936, and a sense of change was in the air. The Philippine Independence Act had just been signed, and the country was entering a new stage in its history as a Commonwealth government. That same year, a group of nuns had moved into a small room atop a hardware store in Binondo—heralding the humble beginnings of a school that would find its culmination in the institution it is today.

Tree Planting at Biak na Bato

ICA had started its Institutional Tree-Planting Project in Biak na Bato, San Miguel, Bulacan as its tree-planting site. Its specific location is Sitio Madlum, which is a part of the Biak-na-Bato National Park. So far ICA has planted 1,111 indigenous saplings in a one-hectare barren land. ICA entered into a partnership with the Miriam College’s Environmental Studies Institute who has a tie-up with people’s organizations in the whole of Biak na Bato area, for this project.
