Pinyin Orientation

Last October 2, 2017, our Grade school Chinese teachers held the first Chinese pinyin orientation for Grade 1 and Grade 2 parents. Our facilitators, Mrs. Lilibeth Ng and Ms. Abbygale Dante, gave the parents an overview of how Pinyin is taught in school. The orientation aimed to help parents assist their daughters in learning Pinyin.

The orientation focused on the initial and final sounds, the combination of sounds, plus applying the basic tones and the rules in Pinyin. To make it fun and enjoyable, the facilitators provided the parents with videos and even asked the parents to try to answer some simple exercises.

The Chinese teachers thank the parents who attended, for making the event a success.
