STRIPED! ICA School Fair 2017

Last January 21 - 22, 2017, Immaculate Conception Academy opened their doors to the public for the annual ICA fair entitled "Striped: WHERE THE FUN ALWAYS RUNS." Everything seen in the fair revolved drew inspiration from stories and character of Roald Dahl’s Dr. Seuss books.

Booths were lined up with different fun games and creative designs and props, with irresistible prizes. Aside from the game booths, there were also various goods and services that lined up the corridors of the fair grounds. Of course, the fairgoers also braved the different amusement rides like Octopus and Viking.

Shows were staged to entertain the fairgoers. The Events Stage had impromptu DiTi (Di - Tinanggap) dances, songs and jokes at the Kinder Assembly Area. The Dramatics Guild had their DG Box with comedy spiels, skits and songs. Over at the DTASC, the Balloons show entitled “Wish Away: Where Stories Come Alive” showcased the Grade School Students with their talents in singing and dancing. The much awaited ICA Variety Show - "Valuria : Radiance in Dusk." ended the first day of the fair. It had performances by Hands in Harmony, ICA Glee Club, ICAn models and ICA Dance Troupe. There were also appearances by Elmo Magalona, Janella Salvador, The Perkins Twins and many more that brought happiness to its viewers.

The second and final day of the fair had the BOB (Battle of the Best) with the theme: "Looped: On A Different Note" at the Lin Lin Chung.  This is a competition open to all bands and singers in high school up to 2nd year college from all schools. The younger ICAns, on the other hand, had their Kiddie Carnival at the DTASC with games, treats and a show. (Anissa Chua/Caitlin Ching)
