Advocacy Talks: CESC Enrichment Activity

As part of strengthening the Ted-Jeepgy pillar on Youth Empowerment, Grade 12 HUMMS students took part in a series of talks featuring different advocacy groups in the Philippines. This enrichment activity aims to inspire and raise awareness of students about the importance of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the work that they do in advocacy and community building. The online talks were done during the synchronous time of CESC classes of 12-Hope and 12-Fidelity. Speakers from Greenpeace Philippines, Likhang Puso and Pawssion Project shared their valuable knowledge and expertise about their respective organizations. The advocacy talks provided an opportunity for students to be in touch with the realities of community work and the different social issues ranging from environment, indigenous culture and animal rights.
